Swamp Fox Festival Schedule
Sunday "Art and Air" at Lowe Park will be start at noon and continue through 9:00 pm, with many events sponsored by the Marion Arts Council.
The Marion Arts Council Art Sale noon to 7 pm. Artistic items for sale will include paintings, fused glass art, jewelry, fine photography, woven items both fabric and willow among others.
The Master Gardeners will be at the Lowe Center from 12:00 to 4:00 to give tours of their gardens and the greenhouse, plus answer your questions.
Two performances by the Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre Company between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
Have you ever thought about trying juggling? Two Juggling Workshops will take place between 2:00 and 4:00 pm instructed by nationally recognized juggler Doug Sayers of Whatsupjuggling. One workshop will be gear toward children and one for adults.
The day will be mark ten years since the 9-11 attacks. A 9-11 Ceremony commemorating the date will be held at Lowe Park by American Legion Post 298 and the Marion Fire and Police Departments. The ceremony will be from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
Evening activities will start at 5:00 pm with music in the Lowe Park Courtyard performed by The Beaker Brothers.
Food will be provided from 5:00 until 7:30 pm by the Marion Lions Club.
Sparkles the Clown will be at Lowe Park starting at 5:00 pm to entertain the kids and tie balloon animals.
During the late afternoon Hot Air Balloons will start to arrive in the Courtyard. The balloons will be there because the evening will culminate at dusk with a Hot Air Balloon Glow sponsored by Farmers State Bank.
